GeO2 thin films were prepared by sol‐gel method on ITO/Glass substrate. The electrical and optical properties and the microstructures of these films were investigated with special emphasis on the effects of an annealing treatment in ambient air. The films were annealed at various temperatures from 500 °C to 700 °C. Structural analysis through X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscope (AFM) showed that surface structure and morphological characteristics were sensitive to the treatment conditions. The optical transmittance spectra of the GeO2/ITO/Glass were measured using a UV‐visible spectrophotometer. All films exhibited GeO2 (101) orientation perpendicular to the substrate surface where the grain size increased with increasing annealing temperature. The optical transmittance spectroscopy further revealed high transparency (over 70 %) in the wave range 400 – 800 nm of the visible region. At an annealing temperature level of 700 °C, the GeO2 films were found to possess a leakage current density of 1.31×10‐6A/cm2 at an electrical field of 20 kV/cm. (© 2011 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. Micro‐Raman spectroscopy is applied for the first time to identify mineralogical characteristics of ceramic bodies and red coatings on decorative cord‐marked pottery (ca 2600–1700 B.C.) from an archeological site in northern Taiwan. X‐ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy‐energy dispersive X‐ray spectrometry were used as complementary techniques. The combined results of mineralogical and elemental composition suggest that the pottery items were produced from illitic clays and fired to a temperature less than 800 °C under oxidizing conditions. The slight discrepancy in composition between the red coatings and ceramic bodies possibly indicates a somewhat different source of raw materials and/or clay refining processes used by ancient potters. Additionally, feldspar, hornblende, and pyroxenes detected in the samples are closely related to the main compositions of nearby volcanic rocks, implying that the raw materials could have come from a local source. We have performed calculations of adsorption energetics on the graphene surface using the state-of-the-art diffusion quantum Monte Carlo method. Two types of configurations are considered in this work: the adsorption of a single O, F, or H atom on the graphene surface and the H-saturated graphene system (graphane). The adsorption energies are compared with those obtained from density functional theory with various exchange-correlation functionals. The results indicate that the approximate exchange-correlation functionals significantly overestimate the binding of O and F atoms on graphene, although the preferred adsorption sites are consistent. The energy errors are much less for atomic hydrogen adsorbed on the surface. We also find that a single O or H atom on graphene has a higher energy than in the molecular state, while the adsorption of a single F atom is preferred over the gas phase. In addition, the energetics of graphane is reported. The calculated equilibrium lattice constant turns out to be larger than that of graphene, at variance with a recent experimental suggestion.  相似文献

Experiments have been conducted using laser-driven cylindrical hohlraums whose walls are machined from Ta2O5 foams of 100 mg/cc and 4 g/cc densities. Measurements of the radiation temperature demonstrate that the lower density walls produce higher radiation temperatures than the high density walls. This is the first experimental demonstration of the prediction that this would occur [M. D. Rosen and J. H. Hammer, Phys. Rev. E 72, 056403 (2005)10.1103/PhysRevE.72.056403]. For high density walls, the radiation front propagates subsonically, and part of the absorbed energy is wasted by the flow kinetic energy. For the lower wall density, the front velocity is supersonic and can devote almost all of the absorbed energy to heating the wall.  相似文献

Temperature distributions, velocity distributions and size distributions were obtained. A thermocouple was used for the temperature measurements. Microfabricated silicon/glass-based devices with functionalities of simultaneous polymerase chain reaction (PCR) target amplification and sequence-specific electrochemical (EC) detection have been successfully developed. The microchip-based device has a reaction chamber (volume of 8 microl) formed in a silicon substrate sealed by bonding to a glass substrate. Electrode materials such as gold and indium tin oxide (ITO) were patterned on the glass substrate and served as EC detection platforms where DNA probes were immobilized. Platinum temperature sensors and heaters were patterned on top of the silicon substrate for real-time, precise and rapid thermal cycling of the reaction chamber as well as for efficient target amplification by PCR. DNA analyses in the integrated PCR-EC microchip start with the asymmetric PCR amplification to produce single-stranded target amplicons, followed by immediate sequence-specific recognition of the PCR product as they hybridize to the probe-modified electrode. Two electrochemistry-based detection techniques including metal complex intercalators and nanogold particles are employed in the microdevice to achieve a sensitive detection of target DNA analytes. With the integrated PCR-EC microdevice, the detection of trace amounts of target DNA (as few as several hundred copies) is demonstrated. The ability to perform DNA amplification and EC sequence-specific product detection simultaneously in a single reaction chamber is a great leap towards the realization of a truly portable and integrated DNA analysis system.  相似文献

Linear as well as branched oligosaccharides were labeled with p-aminobenzoic ethyl ester (ABEE) using the glycosylamine closed-ring labeling approach and analyzed by negative-ion electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). Linkage specific fragment ions of ABEE labeled linear oligosaccharides were proposed based on the MS2 and MS3 data for several ABEE labeled linear oligosaccharides with known linkage configurations. Fragmentation at the reducing end was similar to that observed for ABEE disaccharides whereas the fragmentation pattern not involving the reducing end was similar to underivatized disaccharides. Based on these ions, all the linkages of linear oligosaccharides could be unambiguously determined. The fragmentation pattern at the branched sugar was in general not quite the same as the linear one. However, many linkage specific fragment ions were also observed for linkages at the branched sugar. These ions along with the ions proposed for linear oligosaccharides were found to be quite useful for the determination of all the linkages of branched oligosaccharides.  相似文献

A general notion of canonical correlation is developed that extends the classical multivariate concept to include function-valued random elements XX and YY. The approach is based on the polar representation of a particular linear operator defined on reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces corresponding to the random functions XX and YY. In this context, canonical correlations and variables are limits of finite-dimensional subproblems thereby providing a seamless transition between Hotelling’s original development and infinite-dimensional settings. Several infinite-dimensional treatments of canonical correlations that have been proposed for specific problems are shown to be special cases of this general formulation. We also examine our notion of canonical correlation from a large sample perspective and show that the asymptotic behavior of estimators can be tied to that of estimators from standard, finite-dimensional, multivariate analysis.  相似文献
